Online Therapy in North Carolina | An Integrative Approach to Mental Health
NIKKI HAMMONDS, LCSW

NIKKI HAMMONDS, LCSW
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing online therapy throughout North Carolina. My approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative, recognizing the connections between emotional well-being, physical health, life experiences, and faith.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, and life's many challenges. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, facing a difficult season, or simply wanting to better understand yourself, therapy offers a space to feel heard, supported, and equipped to move forward.
As a Christian therapist, I welcome the opportunity to incorporate faith and biblical perspectives into our work together, when desired. I believe sound clinical care and Christian faith can complement one another, and I respect each client's individual beliefs and values. My goal is to help you gain clarity, develop practical strategies, and make meaningful changes that fit your life.
Therapy is all about finding a good fit. You don’t need to be in crisis to begin therapy--many clients come simply because they’re tired of carrying so much alone. Choosing a therapist is difficult, and I know how important it is to feel safe and supported in order to grow. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on your needs.
I draw from proven psychotherapy modalities while remaining attentive to the broader factors that have shaped your life, including prolonged stress, trauma history, health-related concerns, and family dynamics. My work is informed by an understanding that mental health does not exist in isolation from the body, spirit, nervous system, immune system, sleep, nutrition, hormones, chronic illness, or environmental stressors.
We work together to understand the full picture of what you’re experiencing and to develop strategies that feel realistic, sustainable, and aligned with your values.
I work with individuals from all walks of life, offering a compassionate, integrative approach to mental health care. I commonly support those who are:
I also have particular experience supporting individuals and families affected by complex medical, autoimmune, and neuroimmune conditions, including PANS/PANDAS, Lyme disease, and related health challenges.
With over 20 years of experience in behavioral health, I bring a broad clinical background and an integrative, whole-person approach to therapy.
I draw from evidence-based treatments, including CBT, ACT, and trauma-informed care, while considering how physical health, environment, and life experiences influence emotional well-being.
My experience includes supporting folks through anxiety, depression, life transitions, caregiver stress, and complex health challenges.
Therapy is a collaborative process, and there's no one-size-fits-all approach. We'll begin by exploring what brings you to therapy, what matters most to you, and what you'd like to change.
Together, we'll identify patterns, build practical coping strategies, and work toward meaningful, lasting progress at a pace that feels right for you.
My goal is to create a comfortable, supportive space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to move forward.
Taking the first step toward therapy doesn't have to feel overwhelming.
I offer a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so we can briefly discuss what you're looking for, answer your questions, and determine whether we're a good fit.
If you decide to move forward, we'll schedule your first online therapy session and begin working toward your goals together.
Ready to get started? I'd love to connect with you.
